my favourite fashion brand
Jacquemus is my current favourite fashion brand due to its capturing concepts and collections. The luxury brand was founded in 2008 by Simon Porte Jacquemus, I find his story very inspiring as he moved from the French countryside at the age of 19 to follow his dreams of fashion and eventually went on to start his now well known fashion house ‘Jacquemus’.
I love how his collections are so unique yet recognisable, especially his most recent ready to wear collection “Le Chouchou” that surrounded scrunched up silhouettes and emulated ‘ballet core’ whilst still linking back to the brands simple yet iconic colour scheme, this intrigues the younger generation whilst avoiding ‘micro trends’ by keeping it classic. Simon Porte continuously creates new silhouettes for both men and women which accentuate different features and convey deeper stories. The most popular product of the Jacquemus emergence is their bags, the price seems very slightly more attainable to consumers in comparison to other luxury brands and the bags themselves are wearable and lasting quality. I love the fact that lots of the clothing can still be worn and styled for every day wear, whilst also being visibly luxury and can be completely dressed up in more creative ways.
I am especially drawn to the Jacquemus marketing, this includes their creative advertising and detailed runways. Specifically in ‘le chouchou’ ready to wear runway, Jacquemus chose to showcase his work in the historic site versailles and have the guests arrive by boat, he explains how he wants to make the collection memorable and distinct to the consumers, “They can know that it is the Chouchou collection and remember the castle and the puffiness”. The brands marketing is also extremely captivating, what drew me into the brand most was the promotion of their bambino bags as I vividly remember feeling amazed by the images of buses shaped as giant bags driving around the streets of Paris and I feel this is what sparked my interest in Jacquemus. Jacquemus can also be seen on many celebrities, including Blackpink’s Jennie Kim who, despite being an ambassador for Chanel, has most recently worn the ‘Le Chouchou” collection on the cover of Harper Bazaar South Korea and this continues to promote the brand worldwide. I love how Simon Porte strives to create such an impactful and artistic brand with the unique, eye-catching marketing which makes him stand out from the usual luxury brands.
“I don’t do clothes, I do stories”

Lovely post- Jaquemus for me are the ultimate ‘modern feminine’ brand. I always look forward to their next collection and the theatre of their shows.
